Description: “YOUR HAND IN MINE BY THE OLD WATER-MILL”—ANTICHRISIS (“NIGHTSWAN” LYRICS) Up for auction today is a lot of 3 vintage Current fold and seal postcards/notecards. I’m also including a lot of 4 gold seals (one extra than the cards, in case you may need it), that you can use to seal the postcards with. The cards feature an old water mill sitting near a grassy hill. A small pond runs tranquilly, below the mill. There are several larger rocks and grass surrounding the pond on one side, while the other side of the pond has small stones around it. Tall trees are growing up behind the mill. The artist’s initials, S.W., are found along the bottom edge of cards, at the right side of the grass. Other than these initials, I’m not sure who the artist was. There’s a designated area marked “Stamp,” located a bit below the lower right hand corner, on the printed side of the card. Simply pop your stamp on this area and address your card to the recipient. Turn the card over, write your message to the recipient on the blank side of the card, fold along the two fold lines and place your gold seal on to seal the card. Then stick it in the mail. You don’t need an envelope. The cards measure just a bit over 5.5” wide by 8” high, when unfolded. The cards are in good condition. They are crisp and clean on the side with the picture of the mill. When I flipped the cards over to the blank side on the back, I noticed that one of the cards has a small mark on it (almost looks like a pencil mark but I don’t think it is). This mark is located near the center but more towards the left side edge. Please view the third photo above, for a better idea. Also, all the cards have a few small, light crease marks on them. These are hardly noticeable and are located along the edges or near the corners. What an awesome vintage find! I love the peaceful, serene feel that these cards provide. They are perfect to send a close friend, you can reminisce about the good old days. These would also be nice to send to someone you know who is a nature lover. Or, why not add them to your own collection because let’s be real, these are going to be hard to part with.J Remember, you will be receiving 3 Current watermill postcard/notecards and 4 gold seals to seal them with.
