Description: Walthers 85' Budd Grill-Diner - Amtrak (Phase IV) (HO Scale) Walthers Part #932-15121 This is an HO scale Walthers 85' Budd Grill-Diner in Amtrak Phase IV colors. This car most closely resembles one of the ex-Pennsylvania Railroad parlor cars ultimately converted into Heritage Diner around 2000. These were in service until the Heritage Diners were removed from service in 2019. It can easily stand in for Amtrak #8530, which did wear Phase IV paint between 2000 and 2010. Whether running a prototypical single level train with food service or a freelance route, this car would be an excellent choice for the early 2000s. I, personally, acquired this car for a planned Silver Meteor set after having lunch in a Heritage Diner a few years ago. Car has never been run and was only out of the box for photos. Box has some wear and the clear plastic has yellowed. It has all of the associated paperwork and decal sheet. I will combine shipping with other items.
