Description: This clock belonged to great great grandfather. He worked as a salesman for a company back in the 1800s. He was awarded this fine clock back in 1902 when he retired for being their top salesman. He kept this clock in his 22 room home in Pennsylvania until his death where it was then handed down to his son, his sons son and so on until it went to the great great grandson. Sadly his wife passed and he was unable to keep the clock due to downsizing. Most all of the paperwork was kept with the clock showing who owned it and when. The movement appears to be European and the the 9 bells sound wonderful! The hour bell is 6 feet tall and is the best sounding bell clock I've ever heard. These bells are long and thick. The chime weight is 40 pounds! The height of the clock is just over 94 inches so it will fit in an 8 foot ceiling. Shipping is free.
