Description: Walter Bosse Cow Egg Cup - Vintage Mid Century Original Austrian 1960s Brass Cow Candle Holder Figurine Walter Bosse first started producing figurines as collectibles in the 1950s using a unique method of patina on polished brass; the patina is polished off to reveal shiny brass beneath. Great example of an Austrian brass egg cup/candle holder. This modernist cow from the 50s is in great condition with good patina. These were originally used as egg cups, or for use with cute round wax candles. They fit a tealight inside. I have also seen these used as ashtrays.
