Description: For sale today are two classic, rare, and out-of-print (oop) Abbeville Press/Disney Comics hardcover graphic novels/comics from the Walt Disney Best Comics and Stories series featuring Mickey Mouse by Floyd Gottfredson, both published in 1980. **Mickey Mouse Meets Robin Hood **Mickey Mouse Joins The Foreign Legion I am not a comics grader, but I try to be as thorough as possible when assessing books for any flaws. I don't believe in using a number grade system - to me they are mostly utilized as a method to be ambiguous about exact condition and/or individual imperfections - but I do attempt to describe anything other than minor cover shelf-scuffing/scratching in detail. If a certain flaw discussed below does not mention that it affects inside pages, then it does not. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- These novels are in good conditions considering their age, with solid spines, and easily legible, great/bright inside pages with minimal to no signs of natural yellowing (photo#12 example). They have some signs of wear, although a majority are lighter in severity and affecting primarily its externals/corner based. A few signs of lighter external wear. USC has minimal wear, LSC has small indents around where it meets each cover. Front and back covers' top, bottom, and page edges have little if any shelf-wear other than a small scuff on the front's bottom edge near the outer corner. FTOC has a tiny bend/tear, all other outer corners possess tiny scuffs. Front cover has 2 tiny/light dings/depressions around its title and a small indent/depression near its bottom edge. Back cover has a tiny/light ding/depression near the BBOC, and 2 near its middle. ~1" scratch/indent on its spine edge. Book has a very light bend/curl towards the page edge. **Joins The Foreign Legion: Good overall condition for its age, with great/bright inside pages with light signs of natural yellowing towards its peripherals. Some lighter signs of wear, almost entirely to its externals. USC has light curling with small but moderate indents around it where it meets each cover. LSC has light curling, with a tiny ding/peel where it meets the front cover that causes an adjacent ~1/2" indent, and a small indent where it meets the back cover. Front and back covers' top, bottom, and page edges have light if any shelf-wear other than a small ding/scuff on the front's bottom edge near the spine corner. FTOC has a tiny peel/scuff with a nearby small horizontal indent, BTOC has a small peel/scuff. Both FBOC and BBOC possess tiny peels/scuffs as well. Front cover has a light vertical indent spanning its height near the page edge (photo#10 w/illumination). A few tiny/light dings/depressions spread around the cover. Back cover has a patch of tiny dings near the FTOC, and LSC (photo#11 w/illumination), with a few individual ones towards the USC and BBOC. A few light scratches near its center, and a few more towards the LSC. Both covers have some light shelf-scratching/scuffing around them. Book has a light bend/curl towards the page edge. A few pages towards the book's middle have a small/light indent near their bottom edge (outside of panels). -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I both buy to read as well as sell TPBs on here, so I understand how aggravating it is to receive a comic damaged in transit.
