He was the son of Thomas Waddle (1824 - 1901) and Elizabeth Ann Oliver (1826 - 1889). On the 20th of December 1879, he married Martha "Mattie" Virginia Hydman, born 21 January 1853 in Brilliant, Jefferson Co., Ohio, daughter of James Hyndman (1796 - 1878) and Elenora Presbury (1813 - 1899). They moved to Bellevue, Allegheny, Pennsylvania, where Oliver worked in real estate. He died 2 June 1928 and was laid to rest in the Waddle family plot in Union Cemetery, Steubenville, Jefferson Co., Ohio. Mattie joined him 12 September 1948.Their children include: Olive Louise Waddle Duty (1882 - 1968), Ethel Lucille Waddle (1885 - 1955), Edith Alberta Waddle (1889 - 1989), Charles Raymond Waddle (1893 - 1894)Photo measures about 5.5 x 8 inches and is in very good condition for its age, but shows aging as expected from a photo over 100 years old.
