It now has a Magnetic closure, but it is Easily Removeable if you wanted, because it has a spring ring clasp on one end and a lobster clasp on the other. It was this way when I bought it at Auction. Measures 18 inches total. The beads are in Very Good Conditon and Necklace Strand passed my tug test. I did not clean the beads so they probably will shine up even more...but I don't clean old jewelry unless it's necessary. Thanks for looking!
