The problem is that the heating element works a little too great and fried the toast into a burnt mess before rising the charred remains up. From watching several (SEVERAL) online videos, I know that it's possible to turn down the heating element through some skill and wizardry, but at that point, I decided I was already in over my head with projects and have decided to move on to the next one.After the toaster burnt my toast, it was rude enough to hang onto some of the crummy remains and the inside of the toaster is no longer as clean as it once was. The inside of the toaster could use another deep cleaning.The cord to the toaster is original, but we didn't burn our house down using it, so there's that.Every few months, my husband will ask what my plans are for the toaster I've hidden at the back of the closet. Today is the day! The toaster is listed and ready to be shorn up into the pride of your kitchen.Please buy this toaster so that I can finally tell my husband that I've sold the dang thing.
