Description: Up for auction is a vintage photo print, as pictured and in pictured good condition. This is from the 1970s era, these are from the infamous Signal Hill speed run of 1976, 1977, or 1978. I believe they are mixed from these years, mostly from 1977. All from the early days of modern skateboarding, these downhill speed contests were a key part of skateboarding history. These events are regarded as the veritable birth of the Santa Cruz skate team. Lots of new companies and products debuted here at this contest, tremendously dangerous for the skaters brave enough to do the run. These are unique shots of iconic moments in skateboard history from the contest that was billed essentially as the first true X games. These all came from Powerflex, Bob Ballou (who ran Powerflex). This one is Michael McCreary from Tunnel or Larry Medrano. Feel free to ask me any questions you need to know and I will definitely hit you back with my best answer. Good luck, and enjoy!
