About Ronnaug Petterssen: Ronnaug Petterssen was a leading doll artist between 1930 and 1978. She was born in Vesteraien, Northern Norway on October 1st, 1901. In 1929 she studied art in a State Academy in Berlin, Germany, and in 1933 she went to Spain where she made dolls in different local costumes. She also made ski dolls and Santa dolls. She exhibited dolls at the World Fair in Paris in 1937 and in New York in 1939 on behalf of Norway. She won first prize in New York.
