Vtg Pull String Bag Gold & Red Stitched Black Fabric Coins Elephant Lady Accents

Description: Here is a vintage evening bag which has black fabric on the exterior (possibly silk) that has been stitched with a floral and butterfly design on both the front and back. This has no damage and is well done. The oval bottom is solid black and in good condition. On one side of the purse, near the seam, the fabric has pulled away (see photo #12). This could be carefully sewn back in place. The interior is a dark yellow fabric. The interior is clean with no damage. The bag has black cord drawstings which have oriental coins as accents. On the top of one side of the purse is a small white elephant with little black eyes. He is attached with a small gold toned ring to the cording. On the other side is a small white round box with a lid. The lid has painted gold flowers and green leaves and in the center a picture of an oriental lady. The lid slides open to a small compartment. The back has painted green leaves. This is attached to the cord with a gold toned ring. Both the elephant and the small round box are 5/8" across. The purse is 7" tall from the base and about 6 1/2" across. This is an interesting purse and would be great to display or use after repair. Please check all pictures to see the conditions of the bag.
