Decorated with the zanfirico technique: pink retortoli (twisted fancy ribbons) and white latticino (filigrana latticework) and glittering with generous 24k gold aventurine (polveri) from under. Beautifully scalloped edges. It's a stunning piece, in hand, and prettier than the photos portray. Weighs-in heavy at 2½-pounds and measures 8½-inches wide. Original factory label (illegible). Pontil/base was ground-flat, highly polished and shows the expected (very light), age-appropriate shelf wear.
