Description: You're looking at an original 1930s UHL TOLEDO drafting stool with height adjustment via the lever arm under the seat. This stool is in very good shape overall and in original, unrestored condition. The military green steel finish shows lovely wear commensurate with age including light scuffs, marks, finish wear etc. This early example's signatures are the curved footrest supports, the wider footrest and the backrest which is hardwood rather than bent plywood that was used in later examples of the 1940s. Structurally this piece is very sound and sturdy at any height. This is also the tallest version of this stool that The Toledo Metal Furniture Co. made. The seat height adjusts from approx 27.5" - 32.5". The diameter of the footrest is 18".
