You can see the original color peeking through, but time has muted the tones in a subtle, weather-worn way! There is a hanger on top or it can sit on a table. One panel has a hinged door to access the candle holder. This is lightly rusty, not rotten. It is perfectly stable and strong. If you are looking for a new, shiny one, this is not it!
