Description: Offered for auction an exceptional "VINTAGE LEE REYNOLDS BURR (1936-2017) VANGUARD STUDIOS ABSTRACT IMPRESSIONIST SILKSCREEN & ACRYLIC CITYSCAPE PAINTING ON MASONITE / SIGNED "STUART" / FRAMED. Lee Reynolds Burr, artist and owner of Vanguard Studio in Beverly Hills, California employed 8-20 professional artists to recreate by silkscreen and acrylic paint artwork of famous artist and make these paintings available to the general public. The size of these paintings varied, as did the subject matter. Among the most coveted are Cityscapes with the presence of inhabitants. This painting appears to be an European Cityscape (possibly Venice), with its waterfront scenic view, tall structures and people out-and-about. They are not fishing, at least not for fish. LOL. The primary colors are black, brown, shades of tan, white and a hint of orange. The artist signature "STUART" (possible pseudonym) is located on the top left corner. This painting is executed in the abstract and impressionist styles, with mid century modern ambiance. Frame dimensions: Height...38 1/2" Width...32 1/2", Depth...1 1/4", Image dimensions: Height...30", Width...24". The painting image is in very good vintage condition, with no scrapes, holes, stains or missing paint. The linen lining shows some staining, but no tears. The wood frame is in good condition with scrapes to surface and chips to decorative wood edge (photo #10). I am not certain of the date created or what gifted artist in his staff is the originator. There is a number on the back (394), possibly relates to the artist. This painting is shipped from a smoke-free environment and is ready to mount.
