Description: Kumari's silk hot pink and purple nehru jacket. This one is hard to date! It has a small size tag on a side seam and nothing else. At the most recent end of the age spectrum I'd say it's a 60s piece but it could be earlier! (Early 70s saw the requirements for fiber content and washing instructions).The purple silk is amazing and so plush. Working frog closures, side slits at hip. Very light padding (30s early 40s type) in shoulders.The hot pink silk interior is magnificent but has foxing along neckline and color. The fabrics are strong but there are areas of seam splits at shoulder, underarm, elbow, side slits and bottom of front placard.
