The rifle breaks open without problems, but I do not understand how it operates. DOES NOT APPEAR TO HOLD CAPS. No dents or major scratches to the tin/metal parts. No cracks & no chips to the wooden gun-stock. The trigger & hammer springs are tight, but there may be some internal wear that needs oiling or slight repair. This replica gun has a permanently-attached orange barrel plug as required by law.
