Description: Very rare May 1990 newspaper magazine print advertisement for U.S. Space Camp when there was still a Camp in Florida near Kennedy Space center. The Florida location opened in 1988 but closed in 2002. The Huntsville Alabama Camp has been open since 1982. Ad features a boy in an Astronaut suit modeled after NASA equipment. The ad gives a Po Box to write for information, or a number to call. Headline is " U.S. Space Camp The Right Stuff for Fun ". A play on words as a nod to the 80's film about astronauts based on the Tom Wolfe book. The phrase was also notable at the time as the title of a popular New Kids on the Block song. A fun piece of nostalgia. Ad is on newspaper type paper from an Orlando Florida monthly publication. Clipping measures 5" wide x 7.5" tall. Comes with protective sleeve and backing board.
