Description: Here is a mid 1950s made in Japan Greyhound Lines Scenicruiser tin-litho friction toy in beautiful original condition. Condition is "used". The paint scheme on this bus is darker than almost every other tin-litho Greyhound I've seen. Really rich and attractive, imo. There are 2 small areas of very light surface rust that have barely disturbed the paint. The friction motor works well but would benefit from some cleaning and lubrication; it has fairly strong resistance and doesn't run-out very long due to the original oil lubrication becoming sticky and accumulated dust around the axles and engine. The drive wheels are both missing their hubcaps and there are 2 very small dents on one side in the "Greyhound Lines" paint strip. Overall, this toy is in excellent condition with beautiful original paint that has no significant scratches in it. Someone with a little patience, and some fine tools to reach in through the open windows, could clean the interior well and tune up the engine with a couple drops of lubricant to bring this bus back to nearly new condition.
