Description: Absolutely perfect dress for a era theme Costume Party!Here is a fabulous authentic vintage 1950's fitted bodice with gathered lace overlay skirt Party/Prom Dress.The color of this dress is Turquoise and the material is a cotton/rayon blend. A very striking element of this dress is the lace & the three spaghetti strap shoulders.The bodice of this dress is very tailored and has two darts that run from the bust area to the waist. There are also two similar darts on the back of the bodice. The bodice is fully lined as well as the entire dress. There is a metal zipper closure at the back of the dress. Some inner seams are finished by pinked edge and some are plain seamed. And there are some unfinished seams that will be apparent in the photos of the inside of the dress. The bottom hem is finished with tape. The turquoise material has a nice bit of soft sheen and crisp feel to it. This dress is really in great vintage condition. I did notice some small pin holes where a corsage was and a small stain on the under lining.This dress was apparently well cared for and stored well over the decades since it was first purchased. Label : Park Lane Juniors Original Size:There is no size in this dress, but please note that it was originally made under a label for "Juniors". That would mean that the dress was targeted to fit a young high school or college age woman. By today's size standards, I would say that this dress would be approximately size 6 but please refer to the Measurements given below to make sure that you will get a proper fit. It is a small size as the waist is small, coming in at 26 inches with no give. It is also a small size at the bust, coming in at 31 inches with no give.
