Description: This hand-tailored 1940's magenta crepe ladies business suit has it all - wide shoulders, shoulder pads, shiny black detail around the collar, decollette, and down the front, with a fitted waistline in the button up jacket. The skirt has front and back darts at the waistline and is flared at the mid-calf. This is an outfit straight out of the 1940s when things were made to last. There is only one very minor flaw and it is a small 1/2" seam separation at the bottom of the skirt, which I've shown in close-up in the last couple of photos. I will leave it up to they buyer to decide whether they want to repair it themselves or have a professional do it for them. The jacket is beautifully lined and the skirt has been hemmed with binding, probably created and sewn at the shop on the label, "Lacy's", Springfield, OH. This was a very flashy outfit back then, I only wish I knew what kind of hat and shoes had been worn with it.
