Description: Vintage 1940s to early 50s Two Piece Wool Gabardine Suit. I went back and forth on whether this suit was black or navy. For awhile I was sure it was black. Now I'm back to it being the darkest navy blue I've seen before.. Regardless, it's a sharp looking suit in about a size 40. The jacket has a really nice substantial weight to it and the gab weave looks great. Jacket is a 6x2 double breasted peak lapel style and measures 21.25 inches across the chest pit to pit and the shoulder measures across at 19 inches. Length minus collar is 31.25 inches and sleeves are 25 inches long. It has a skeleton rayon liner with three outside pockets and two inside. Lightly padded shoulders and no vent in back. The cuffed, dropped belt loop, flat front trousers have a pair of snaps at the waist and a Waldes cover zip fly. They measure 35.5 around the waist by 30.5 inches inseam. Rise is 13.75. The suits in pretty great shape overall with the exception of two small repaired tears on either side of the crotch area. See photo. They'd hide pretty well while wearing luckily. I can't find any other issues. The suit is very dark so I lightened most of the photos to show some detail. A great looking and versatile suit. Shipped promptly. Questions welcome. Shirt and tie not included in sale.
