Description: Offered is this vintage booklet, the October, 1935 bulletin from the Consumers' Cooperative Club of St. Louis, which is Vol. 1, No. 2. The club, like many similar organizations around the world during this time of Depression, bought consumer goods in large quantities direct from the wholesaler, passing on the savings to the club members, who then paid less than the normal retail price. The brochure explains how the club works and then lists the many items available through the club, with prices. Also included is an order form and a questionnaire. The brochure had been mailed without an envelope, so the back has the address of the sender and recipient as well as a partial postage stamp. This is a rare find; at the time of original listing I could not find any other items from this club for sale on eBay. The booklet is approx. 11" x 4 1/8" and contains 26 pages, not including the cover. It is in fair to good condition. The cover has some stains and damage and has had a piece of tape put over part of it. There is some corner damage to some pages, but no pages are missing and all are well-attached to the staples. Some of the pages have light stains but all of the text is readable. Please take a moment to look at some of the other items in my eBay store!
