Description: Estate Sale Find! This print was hidden under a bed with other artwork and DECADES worth of dust. I was shocked to clean off the dust and see what I was holding! The gold metallic ink immediately caught the light (and my attention)! I did a little research, and this is a RARE, 1927, lithograph print of Abraham Lincoln's Gettysburg Address, produced by the Society of Fine Arts of New York. The original Illuminated Manuscript was created by Antonio and Giuseppe Mungo and presented to President Calvin Coolidge! It has amazingly vivid colors and the detail work is incredible. The piece depicts Abraham Lincoln, General Robert E Lee, and General U S Grant, as well as the Lincoln Memorial and the Soldiers National Monument at Gettysburg. The document itself must measure approximately 14 tall by 11" wide. Based on my research, I believe it is framed in its original frame, which measures 14 3/4" tall by 11 3/4" wide. In my eyes, this piece is in just excellent condition for its age! There is one other copy of this print currently for sale on eBay. Compare the two. I don't even see the metallic ink on that other one, and there is no comparison in condition. This one is stunning! I checked eBay history, and no others have been listed or sold recently. Please take a look at all the pictures to see the brilliant colors, detail, and condition. It has hard to capture the reflective, metallic gold in photos. The camera seems to block it. I did the best I could with the last two photos. You can see lights reflected in the glass, but that was the only way to get that gold reflection to show up in a photo, somewhat close to how you see it with your eyes. History buffs, civil war enthusiasts, collectors - who would love to have this rare, beautiful, unique, 97-year-old piece, in excellent condition? Two shipping choices: Ground Advantage is cheaper.
