This lens configuration was patented in 1900 upon application by Dr. Hans Harting, a lens designer at Fogtrender. Since then, it has been renowned as a high-performance lens. Although the Helia-type lens configuration is an optical system designed in the 19th century, it offers stable descriptive power and high lens performance, which is sufficient from a modern perspective. The lens has the nouveau image rendition and strong color reproduction that only a simple optical configuration can provide. The minimum distance with distance meter linkage is 70 cm, covering the full-size image circle, and it can be used on various platforms such as mirrorless cameras via a mount adapter.
