Description: ITEM DESCRIPTION: VOGUE PARIS ORIG. HOMEMADE DRESS. VTG Design from 1980 sewing pattern: #1607 'Molyneux'-Jacket/Skirt, uncut FF.. (actual size unknown), appears to be sm-med. *See measurements for more detail. *adorable vintage fashion, from the 1980s sewing pattern shown above. Made of the same fabric (*see below) The long skirt (past knee) is straight, with a slight flare at bottom. The jacket is short, button down & is lined (brown; possibly Nylon?) & very unique. Suit: *dark brown/white gingham, that ferls like polyester or possibly a Poly-Blend?(uncertain of fabric material). Dark brown lace trims & enhances this outfit on sleeve cuffs, 4 small front pockets on jacket. Skirt has 1 singular line of lace, straight down the lenth of the front of the skirt (*SEE PICS for more details). Skirt zips down the back, 9" & has 2 slits (sides-3"). Bottom hem 3". * more measurements below: MEASUREMENTS: (* All measurements are approximate & taken with garment lying flat; relaxed) JACKET; *Underarm To Undearm: 20" *Shoulder Seam-Shoulder Seam: 16" *Shoulder Seam To End of Sleeve: 20" *Shoulder To Bottom of Garment: 23" *Top of Shoulder-Bottom of Jacket: 25" *Waist (bottom of garment) : 17" *Hips (right above top pockets): 19" SKIRT: *Length: 27" *Waist:14" *Hips: 18" **CONDITION: VERY GOOD- EXCLNT Vintage, but cared for. Barely; gently worn. Has been in quality garment bag, that didn't discolor or give foul odor to garment. Zipper, buttons (hardware) sll in tact, tightly fitted as it should be. Button holes not worn; mishapen from extensive wearing. Stitching very well done & still held together like new. No loose stitching on in/ outside of suit. Although garment is "homemade" from a sewing pattern, the SEAMSTRESS WORK ON SUIT IS BEAUTIFULLY DONE. >>The ONLY things that I could spot as potential flaws, would be: ~Lace (jacket only) this particular lace is more ornate with bigger, looser loops in it. On the arm cuffs, & front pockets, a few of these loops may be slightly more loose than supposed to be. .It is barely noticeable, but I want to be sure to mention ALL things that others may consider & not just assume they wouldn't. ~The last noted flaw is also on the Arm cuffs (mostly only 1 cuff; Left). At the very top of Both cuffs, there was some slightly Noticeable difficulty in sewing with That particular area of suit. Its likeOverstitching was done as Corrective measure. There were N0 Other Sewing difficulties like this Seen anywhere else on jacket or Skirt (*SEE PICS of the cuff close up inside & out) Much like the lace, the "overstitching" is a slight flaw, that I personally found to be small imperfections..ones that had to be looked for, & then looked at to even be seen, then noted as a "Flaw". .......but it is my responsibility to inform of ANY umperfections, that might impact your purchasing that item As with any vintage clothing.... It is to be expected that there may be tbe usual degrading of fabric, that cones from the passage of time. Factors will vary, depending on age of garment, fabric type, & the many "storage" issues. Therefore, I will inspect each garment thoroughly & note ANY & ALL flaws, including, but not limited to: discoloration, odors, signs of moths, or any kind pf deterioration. These notations will be detailed in item condition & photos. PLEASE utilize all the info, pics, measurements provided & compare them to your own personal; clothing measurements, to ensure a proper fit before placing a bid or buying. please inspect all items thoroughly upon recieving them. Even though I do a thorough inspection, there is always a chance that i missed something..a snag, or tear. If that occurs.
