Description: For sale is a beautiful vintage Zuni - Native American Fetish Jet necklace with large standing bear and stacked wolves. Heishi shell beads and sterling silver cone tips with latch clasp. Jet is a black organic rock that forms when pieces of woody material are buried in sediment and are coalified. Similar to coal, it is less friable. Jet can be cut, carved, and polished to a bright luster and it is often confused with onyx. Length 32". Weight 2.1 oz. There are 100 fetishs on this necklace. 99 stacked wolves fetishs and 1 (one) large standing bear. Bear stands 1.5 inches tall. Made from jet. No markers/artist marking. This item is vintage "new". My parents owned a business from the 1980s through early 2000. It was unsold merchandise from their store. They most likely aquired it during the late 80s or early 90s. Most of their Native American jewelry came from Arizona, USA. Item has never been owned/worn. Left over merchandise from inventory. All items come from a very clean and smoke free home. Items that belong to my parents, both personal and from their business, have been kept in rubbermade containers in my finished basement.
