Description: Antique Wood Tobacco Peg For Setting Seedlings in Ground 10 3/4" long North Carolina A nice handmade wooden farm tool and part of North Carolina tobacco history. Also known as a dibble. Long at almost 11 inchesWeighs almost 14 ounces Found on farm in Granville Country North Carolina. Fully dried sap on the lower part. Hole drilled at the top for hanging with string. Extra hole was drilled but doesn't go through. Wood has chipped off near the bottom from years of use but this is a solid peg as the wood these were made from was from the strongest parts of the tree. Cracking as you would expect for the age and use of the wood. See photos for condition. Please send any questions. I find all my stuff at yard sales, moving sales, and estate sales. Shipping to the US only. No return policy. Thank you!
