Description: ***********FOR PARTS/REPAIR - The Felsa 695/Wittnauer 11AFG automatic movement will only run for a few seconds at a time after the watch has been gently shaken or spun face down. While the time can be set and the crown winds it does not feel as though it's engaging the movement when doing so. At a minimum a complete overhaul is required.***********This seldom seen vintage 1950's Wittnauer, which came from the estate of its original owner, has an aged champagne sunburst "SWISS" only signed dial that is in lovely but not perfect condition as it shows wear. The lume on the dial and hands, which appears to have remained intact, no longer glows after being exposed to bright light. The all stainless steel lugholes case shows honest wear and oxidation. The inside of the case back is stamped "WITTNAUER WATCH Co INC" followed by "STAINLESS STEEL,""49" and "5621834." The crystal should be replaced. The 17 jewels unadjusted Swiss "WITTNAUER WATCH Co INC" stamped Felsa 695/Wittnauer 11AFG automatic movement only runs for a few seconds at a time after the watch has been gently shaken and or spun face down. While the time can be set and the non-screwdown crown winds it does not feel as though it's engaging the movement when doing so. At a minimum a complete overhaul is required. This watch measures approximately 33 mm excluding the crown, approximately 35.5 mm including the crown and approximately 18 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the fixed bezel, is approximately 7.5 mm. Including the crystal thickness measures approximately 10 mm. At a minimum a complete overhaul is required. As such there are no warranties, express or implied, attached with the sale of this watch. Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old-school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time. For this watch that time is now.
