Description: This vintage Ludwig snare drum is a true gem for any collector or musician. Crafted in the United States in 1951, it features a 3-ply Mahogany shell with Maple reinforcing rings and Cat Gut snare wires. The drum comes with Top and Bottom Calf Skin heads and Ludwig P34 strainer. The hardware includes Ludwig Bow Tie Lugs with Wooden Hoops. The size of the drum is 12x15 and it is most likely that the color was Gold Sparkle, now more of a Ginger Ale Sparkle. Drum features Green Sparkle Hoop inlays,in good condition. This is a fully functional Parade snare drum in amazing condition for being over 70 years old. This Vintage WFL Ludwig Parade Marching snare drum is in very good condition for being over 70 Years old. Mahogany shell is in round, wrap and seams are tight. Scarf joints are very tight and shell laminates are in very good condition. Wrap shows some fade and some spotting through out. Green sparkle inlays are intact. Wooden hoops are in great shape.Top hoop inlay could use stapled at the seam. Ludwig P34 strainer is fully functional. Drum outfitted with orginal calf skin heads. Drum is in round.
