Description: This large, handsome vintage ceramic duck figurine was created in the early 1980s by Bee Gee Studio of Seaside Oregon. Bee Gee was in business until about 1984 and created its Volcanoware objects using ceramic clay mixed with volcanic ash from the Mount St. Helens eruption. Cream with an attractive pale cinnamon-colored swirl pattern, this detailed figurine is approximately 6” high by 7.75” long by 3.5” deep. This piece is signed “Bee Gee Volcanoware” on the back, and may also be signed (and possibly dated) under the surface-protective felt on the underside.
