Vintage very rare fountain pen 1920s WATERMAN 58 BLACK CHASED HARD RUBBER

Description: 1920s WATERMAN 58 BLACK HASED HARD For sale is this Waterman #58 Black Chased Hard Rubber fountain pen from the 1920s. First I want to highlight that this pen is as I found it, I have not done any restoration, so I don't know if it works This fountain pen is made of HARD RUBBER . The coloration is black with a slight chasing effect, but uniform/consistent from the cap to the barrel. The lever has wear to the nickel material. The Waterman Ideal Clip-Cap shows wear. The barrel is imprinted in the center of the barrel, hard to read from wear and tear, "PAT'D 1884 MAY 23, 1899 IDEAL GLOBE LOGO OF WATERMAN PEN FOUNTAIN N.Y. U.S.A. AUGUST 4, 1903." The butt end of the fountain pen has a sharp imprint of the number "58". The threads on the cap and barrel are excellent as the cap always sits firmly on the barrel. There are no monograms or personalization on either the cap or the barrel. This Waterman #58 is a large/monster pen measuring 6" long capped.
