Description: Vintage ~Hard to Find~ California Cleminson Clay Pottery Hand Painted Elephant Bank by The California Cleminson Pottery Company, circa 1950's. There is a paint scrub mark on top of one ear; close-up provided. No chips, cracks, repairs. With typical age crazing and common irregularities found in vintage hand painted ceramics. Very little shelf wear, clean base. Approximately 3 3/4" Tall by 6" Wide by 3" Deep. Provenance: Stamped with the earlier green Cleminson Maker’s Mark. Description: In light pastel baby blue and yellow colors, painted toenails, black eyes and brows, and smiling. Very colorful, wearing a yellow saddle blanket decorated with blue daisy flowers and black pistils. The blanket attaches to a full skirt that is a ruffled yellow with blue pompom ball edging, which makes it look like she is wearing a blue 'pearl' necklace. In a matching cap with a circus style tassel. ADORABLE.
