Description: Vintage Valor Junior No 56R Paraffin Kerosene Oil Heater Made in England This is a black stand-alone paraffin oil heater, with a cylindrical chimney opening to a circular kerosene tank and flame output. This is a Valor Junior Nº56 R which was made in England. Before the advent of electric battery power, paraffin oil was the most common fuel for lamps and portable lanterns. It is still used to some extent for portable lamps and stoves, most often by campers or in developing countries. Nowadays, it will be appreciated much more for its truly original decorative potential than for its original function. The heater is about 19 11/16" (50 cm) high with handle down. Rare item. Collector's item. Condition: Exactly as pictured. The heater is complete and in overall great condition for an authentic find (it shows traces of rust, scratches, wear and oxidation points consistent to use and age). The front panel glass is original (ruby red) and intact (photos 5 and 6). Wick raiser system working properly. No leaks or fissures in the fuel tank. - Please see all pictures for further details.- The item will be shipped via registered mail.
