Vintage Traditional Scandanavian Scout Puukko Fixed Blade Knife with Sheath

Description: This is an authentic 1960's Scandivavian Puukko Boy Scout Knife. This knife would be great for any vintage knife collector as well as for camping or hunting. The knife has no markings as these knives were often manufactured for export and left up to the importing company to mark. The sheath does have "Made In Finland" imprinted on one side. This fixed carbon steel clip point blade hunting knife has not been touched in half a century. I know this because it has been in my possession since the 1960's (in my childhood memories box). The beautiful patina on the blade is natural. The tang runs the full lenth of the handle. There is minimal corrosion as this knife has been stored in a temperature controlled, non-smoking environment all these decades. The blade has not been cleaned or sharpened since the 1960's. I believe the handle is stacked birch wood and is in original condition with crazing of the finish due to age. The leather sheath is original to the knife. The leather is a bit dry as I have not cleaned or conditioned the leather at all. The leather stap in in tact and the snap does work properly. The handle has an alulminum guard and pommel. The blade measures about 4.5 inches. The handle is about 4.25 inches. The total lenght from pommel to tip is about 9.75 inches.
