Description: Up for your consideration is a BEAUTIFUL Tibetan beaded ceremonial belt with Cowrie shells,Turquoise, Coral ,Brass and Black beads. The belt has the Cowrie shells, coral and cobalt colored beads (Lapis?) with a Turquoise feature in the center! This is in excellent condition and does not appear to be worn.The belt measures 2" wide and is 41.25" long. This belt is made from intricately laid strings of red coral bead work with blue beads to highlight. Cowrie shells and chips of turquoise are also incorporated into the design.The color red is auspicious in Tibetan culture. It is a sacred color, one of the colors of the five Buddhas and the color of the monk's garments. Red is related to life force and preservation.
