The Solar Eagle SRC-6000 was released by Tamiya in 1992, an RC model that had never been seen before in the RC world. It was a replica of a real solar vehicle that raced with other solar cars during the 90’s. The Solar Eagle SRC-6000 is a three-wheel platform, with two in the front for steering and one rear wheel for driving. The body shell is set of two Lexan parts, the upper shell holds the solar panels, level meter, mechanics, and electronics being attached underneath. While the lower portion has an upper shell with scratch tape to protect the mechanics. Only the wheels and switch are visible. The electronics were from the Tamiya 1/16 scale Tamtech and sufficient to run a 280 motor. It features:** Ready to assemble R/C model kit** Uses 6-watt (7.5V-800mA) Solar Panels for running and radio operation** Tamtech 202 R/C unit; C.P.R. unit P-05DB; Plus a Solar motor** Lightweight & tough Polycarbonate Monocoque type body shell** Incorporates three power backup capacitors** Capacitor charge meter included** Two front wheels & one rear, for tricycle operation** Precision ball bearings included** Interchangeable frequency crystals** Requires 12 AA batteries. 8 in the transmitter and 4 for testing the car. The Solar Eagle SRC-6000 requires a little assembly only!! This package provides every equipment that you will need to run it, the Radio system, ESC, Motor, and Solar panels. This Solar Eagle SRC-6000 is brand new in the box (NIB). Due to its age (32 yrs), the outer color box of this kit has some fading and bowing. But, no parts are missing!
