Description: Here's a pretty Vintage Straw Sun Hat from the Forties--would have been worn to work or church, downtown etc, but nowadays could go casual too. It is a very dark navy blue--almost black--and likely from WW II era or shortly before because of the popularity of that color at the time. There are little arched cut-outs around the crown, and a twisty semi-bow of straw and velvet for an accent. So many ways to wear this hat! The crown sits above most heads so I think this hat would work well with a bun or other hair on top of head hairstyle--something to anchor to with a hatpin. It could also be worn at back of the head to frame the face, or cocked to the side, and with brim flipped up or down--just have hatpins or bobbi pins to secure it. There is no label at all so it's a beautiful, stylish 1940s mystery hat! Please see photos, read everything, and let me know if you have questions. Thanks very much!
