Vintage Stanley Bailey No. 5 Jack Plane, Made in England

Description: Vintage Stanley No.5 Jack Plane, 14" bed, made in England. It's very difficult to date these English made Stanley Planes with any degree of accuracy, but suffice to say that this is a fairly early model from the mid 20th century with Brass depth adjuster, horizontal Stanley script to the lateral lever, and with the taller front knob.In need of a tidy up having sat unused for many years, the bed is flat and undamaged and the blade has plenty of length left on it, the rear handle has a historical repair but it has no movement. Some general surface corrosion etc, but otherwise it's a good basis for a light restoration.Please do study the pictures in addition to my own description to ascertain for yourself the condition.
