Description: Vintage Signed William Delillo early 1970s Tiger Eye and Amber Art Glass Grand Cross Necklace. This is exquisite statement necklace, circa 1970s, by famous NYC jewelry designers William DeLillo and Robert Clark. Their legacy is cherished greatly and their legendary work objects are preserved in the prestigious museums including New York Metropolitan Museum Of Art. The gold plated necklace is 33 inches long from end to end. The drop when worn with the cross is 16.5 inches. The necklace itself is 12.5 inches long in drop and the cross is 4 inches long. The necklace is comprised of 32 bezel set oval shaped art glass cabochons of bright amber color and darker amber color. Darker colored cabochons have a tiger eye effect. Each bezel is 1/2 x 3/8 inches in size, and is soldered to its place on the long gold plated book chain necklace. The necklace is wired to a large cross 4 x 2.5 inches. The cross frame is made from small gold plated metal squares soldered together. There are 6 vertical and 5 horizontal bezels inside the frame with each bezel encrusted with a 4 small black crystals.The necklace has a box push in clasp. The cross is not detachable.
