Description: Vintage Maigon Daga Modernist Cat Figurine/Sculpture, 7.5” Inches Tall, Studio Pottery, Handmade, Artist Signed. Shiney and matte glazes. Greys and Browns With White. It's in excellent vintage condition. Daga was born in Latvia, and came to the USA in 1964. He opened his studio in Minneapolis, MN in 1970. He is know for his animals, and gorgeous glaze work, and was considered one of our best sculptors. Maigon, or "Mike", died in 2001. This example of his stunning work will be a great addition to your pottery or Mid Century or cat collection.. It is signed Daga.
