Vintage SANYO MR-X910 BOOMBOX (M9996) Japan Only Model RARE STEREO

Description: Here's another domestic Japan only model Sanyo MR-X910 for auction! This is a beautiful radio that has styling only specific to the Japanese models as the American and Europe versions have different speaker grilles. I prefer the look of this model much more! These are known for being quite a good sounding stereo for the size that they are! This is the same specs as the Sanyo M9996 model that was known in the States. This Boombox is unrestored and in need of some attention. When I first received it I was able to listen to the radio but have since not been able to as it seems the switches have too much dirt or corrosion. It powers on and you can hear static and switches make sounds but not able to pick anything up. This is usually caused by the stereo thinking it's stuck on the cassette function switch and resolves once the switches have been cleaned. Just trying to be honest about what I know here! Otherwise this radio is in pretty good condition! Yes there was some battery leakage it appears and has corroded the battery spring terminals. This is sadly common to see but new spring terminals can be found and installed cheaply. I removed the back cover to show that there is no battery leakage or damage anywhere else. Nothing on the boards or components of the radio that I could see. I have not cleaned this one so it will look much better with a little work. However also keep in mind I have not thoroughly went through the radio and have not done anything besides a quick glance over for this listing. It will need to be serviced I'm sure with new belts and switches cleaned at least. Please look at the photos thoroughly and if you would like to see anything else please ask.
