Description: Lovely antique Rudall Carte Bb clarinet is in excellent condition for age, with functional keywork and wood without any significant damage except a small chip from the lower joint tenon as pictured. The original mouthpiece was missing, but I found, after much trial and error, that this much more recently made Boosey & Hawkes "Jack Brymer" model mouthpiece is very suitable. The upper joint is inscribed with a crown and: RUDALL CARTE &Co Ltd 23 BERNERS STREET OXFORD STREET LONDON 5700 The lower joint is inscribed with a crown and: RUDALL CARTE &Co Ltd LONDON The case pictured is included. The clarinet does play surprisingly well as is, but would benefit from new pads. As is, no returns.
