Description: Royer Hutin cobalt blue match holder & striker. Just looking at it sends me to a romantic art deco Paris cafe. This is a classic and somewhat famous French advertising match striker.Made of porcelain with a deep blue cobalt glaze and bright gold lettering and trim.It is approximately 3 1/4" tall. The base is 3 3/8" wide and the match well is about 1 1/2" deep.Wonderful art deco lettering on the striker. Royer Hutin is printed on one side and Cassis & Prunelle de la Cote d'Or on the other. Apparently, they were makers of absinthe, guignozet, curaçao sec, and triple sec.No maker's marks. In excellent vintage condition, with no chips or cracks and only a bit of loss of gold on the rim of the striker. No returns No international shipping
