Description: Beautiful Italian wood music box with a Mother & Child portrait by Edna Hibel. Musical mechanism is by the reknown Swiss company Reuge. The music it plays is listed on the bottom red label. This lovely treasure features gold tones and measures 6” square and 3.25” in height with an elegant velvet lining. Includes key & informational insert. Edna Hibel was a fabulous artist that passed away in 2014 at the age of 97! It is in good condition to be a trinket or jewelry box but with the exceptions of the lid hinge is missing 2 pins (I have 1 pin, but this can rest flat on the box without needing the hinges) and there is a slight round ding on the front of the lid to the right of the child and 2 scratches on the back of lid (visible in certain lighting - possibly can be polished out). Please see pictures for details. I tried to list everything that I see, but even with these minor imperfections, it is a stunning jewelry box! We are a smoke free home. Questions welcome. Thank you!
