Description: For Sale: One saddle ring for a Remington rolling block SRC carbine (slight redundancy there). This part is new manufacture made to the original specification to include the OD of the ring and the diameter of the steel rod used in manufacture. The Outside diameter of the ring is .965 inches and the wire diameter is .177 inches. The part is furnished in the white. You can brown or blue to match the condition of your carbine. We, Womack's Rolling Block Parts, attempt to provide rolling block parts that match and interchange with the original RB parts. We have the carbine staple (SRC Bar) and the mounting screw in stock as well.If you want a dark brown color simply heat the ring until it turns past a dark blue then drop it in motor oil or old type F transmission fluid. See two of the photos just added for an example. Do not heat to a temp that causes the ring to change to orange or red colors.Browning creams, hot tank blue, or color casing will produce other strong finish colors that typically will not match most 100 year old plus RB carbines.I achieved the faded antique grey seen on the ring in the last two photos by heating the ring enough to drive off any moisture, finger oil etc then dropping it in the last remains of a cold blue that was under 40 degrees temp.
