Description: Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome. You are looking at a very rare early Shure Brothers S15 model microphone floor stand from what appears to be the 1980's. It's the first one I have ever personally come across so this is a special find and would be ideal for any studio or professional application. Pic # 2 shows this early 1st gen S15 stand in an older Shure catalog I have from 1981. I don't have any more info on this S15 but I see that Shure is still selling these today though the design is just slightly different. The new ones are selling for $200.00 plus. If you want a quality stand with rarity, extra width, extra height and Shure quality then this 1st gen S15 will certainly do the trick. The S15 is an all aluminum design that's extra thick and sturdy with multiple adjusting risers to give you a height of 34 inches low and can be adjusted to reach a top height of 14 feet. You'll see an Atlas MS-10C model stand next to the Shure S15 in pic # 3 to show you just how much bigger this stand is. The S-15 does fold down into a very easy to store stand once its folded up and it only takes a couple seconds to do. This stand is very practical, lite weight and very stable. It's 100% complete and works perfectly. Each riser has it's own thumb screw that tightens easily to get just the height you need. As you can see the stand thread itself has the standard 5/8 X 27 threading so you can attach any older screw on type mic or any mic clip you have. This particular stand has extremely lite wear on the riser and base. Just some lite scuff marks but zero corrosion, dents or fractures. Please let the detailed pictures be your guide. The stand comes with it's original black vinyl bag / pouch. You can see it's an older model based on the writing which was common for the 1980's model microphones so I'm assuming this is a 1980's era stand. The bag does show some physical damage but it could easily be repaired at an upholstery shop. If you demand a rare Shure stand...look no further. This will not disappoint.
