Description: This is an ethereal and mysterious Vintage Post Modern Abstract Surrealist Dada Oil or Acrylic Painting on canvas, by New Jersey modernist Wayne Woogen. This work depicts surrealistic multi-colored tendrils snaking and intertwining across the canvas. The subject is very alien and unusual, and incredibly unique compared to anything I have seen over the years. A thick impasto and vibrant pop art style palette of colors punctuates this piece. I could not find much biographical information on Woogen, but perhaps you know more about the artist or his work? Signed and dated: Woogen, 81" in the lower left. A signature and notation on the verso reads: "Woogen. Jan 29 1981" Approximately 30 1/2 x 30 1/2 inches (including frame.) Good condition, with some very light scuffing and edge wear to the original period frame. This bold painting would be the conversation piece of any moderne setting.
