Description: PAULINE LAKE HONOLULU vintage 60’s metallic gold & electric blue paisley brocade maxi dress. She designed for the Royal Hawaiian Hotel in Waikiki in the 50's/60's. I have the matching clutch bag included in this auction. The dress is secured at the top of each sleeve with two hook & eye closures and a snap. The bust will accommodate up to 40" and the waist and hips are open. The dress is in great condition. The hem was raised by the previous owner but the stitching is loose and can easily be removed and restored to its original appearance. It is lined in a sheer gossamer. Some has detached from the inside of the dress and could easily be removed and worn without it. It is a beautiful, couture dress and collector's piece. The clutch: The clutch is in excellent, pre-owned vintage condition. The outside is a silk brocade in gold metallic paisley print. The interior is lined in a satin silk and is in a half-moon shape. It has a metal zipper closure and can be folded in half and hooked together at the top for easy storage. Measures approximately 14" across at the top then tapers down to the bottom. It has bow embellishments on the sides. It is a beautiful couture clutch and a OOAK piece.
