Description: Hey neighbor , This Vintage OPW (Ohio Pattern Works) 711 gas dispensing nozzle is in great operating condition and looks really good . The spring loaded dispensing lever works well , as it should , and the spout has a good smooth patina with only the usual nicks and dings that would be expected on an item that has seen the use this dispenser has . There is a small amount of wear on the end of the spout that goes into the gas tank but it doesn’t detract from the piece , only adds to the well worn look . The body of the dispenser is cast aluminum and it also is worn smooth and looks really nice , just a few dings here and there . Made for the OHIO PATTERN WORKS & FOUNDRY COMPANY in Cincinnati , Ohio , I believe this piece was in use in the 1940’s/1950’s . The threaded inlet has the Underwriters Laboratory stamp and a number 6 stamped right under it . Although the threads of the inlet are fine threads and a garden hose has coarse threads , I hooked my garden hose up to it just enough to test the nozzle . It dispenses just as it should and shuts off well also . If you’re into gas pumps and dispensing nozzles this little gem would be a great addition to your collection and , for its age and usage , it’s one piece you’ll be proud to own . You will not be disappointed with this piece !! Please check all pics for size and condition , the last 2 pics give a little interesting history on the OHIO PATTERN WORKS & FOUNDRY COMPANY , CINCINNATI, OHIO .
